AISI 310 is a high temperature resistant austenitic steel. The 310 steel grade has found widespread use in high temperature environments requiring high corrosion and flow resistance due to its high heat resistance. AISI 310 stainless steel is a high chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel with a high carbon content. It has excellent mechanical properties, high temperature oxidation resistance and heat resistance.Type 310 stainless steel is used in various industrial furnaces, steam boilers and petroleum system parts and thermocouple protection tubes. Examples include fire box sheets, furnace linings, boiler baffles, thermocouple wells, aircraft cabin heaters, and jet engine burner liners.
